On our recent trip to Toronto, Mari and I got around to talking about dark energies. She told me she doesn’t believe in them. She believes that dark energies are just energetic beings vibrating at a lower frequency. I realized when she said this, that she was right, and not just how we think about spiritual beings, but also how we approach our health, particularly when we are dealing with a chronic health condition.
As a whole, I have a cheerful outlook! I hold the belief that I will recover my health and I view my current condition as temporary. I also hold the belief that what I am experiencing has a purpose. It is my guide to spiritual consciousness, self love and good health. My attitude is, to do my best to make each moment as joyful, peaceful and loving as possible because I know that the energy I create in each moment has a ripple effect!
Remapping the brain! It’s what the book, The Brain’s Way of Healing, by Norman Doidge, is all about. Dr. Joe Dispenza discusses it at length in his book, You are the Placebo. Both authors take the position that any neurological condition can be overcome by creating new synapses and neural pathways in the brain.
I have written many posts on what I believe are the essential ingredients for my recovery! For instance, a healthy diet is extremely important, as is exercise, bodywork and a good attitude. So too, is eliminating stress! Stress of any sort works against my healing efforts. In fact, it causes the condition to worsen. In this regard, my most important challenge is to ensure that every single thought in my mind helps me to feel tranquil, joyful, loving, abundant and blissful!
I am an avid practitioner of Eckhart Tolle’s [author of The Power of Now and A New Earth] teachings, the core principle of which is ‘conscious presence,’ which could be stated as, living spiritually in the present moment!
Laughter really is the best medicine! Studies have actually shown that laughter helps alkaline the body, reduce inflammation and strengthen the immune system, things that are necessary in order to return the body to homeostasis.
