Healing Parkinson’s Disease Naturally – Recovery Inspiration #76 … The gift of Parkinson’s!

new yearI recently watched a Super Soul Conversation Oprah Winfrey conducted with Gary Zukov, author of Seat of the Soul. During their delightful chat, I was reminded of how important it is for me to acknowledge and be grateful for the wonderful gifts of this Parkinson’s experience!

As difficult and challenging as this journey has been, it has given me so much to be thankful for, on both a physical and spiritual level!

For example, I learned that the onset of Parkinson’s disease [which is really just a name given to a bunch of symptoms] is the result of the body being out of homeostasis, which in turn, is the result of poor gut health, a weakened immune system, a clogged up lymphatic system, inflammation and an acidic body. Correcting these conditions is the key to good health [something rather important for someone planning to live to be 100] and I may never have known this had it not been for my neurological malfunction.

More importantly, I learned that chronic fear and stress is at the root of it all. I was completely unaware that I was living in this fear state [my kryptonite], that I was also addicted to anger [my Superman], and that this combination of emotional toxicity was silently wreaking havoc on every system in my body.

As essential as all this has been for the restoration of my physical health, more meaningful have been the spiritual lessons … which is the ultimate purpose of the journey and the reason for the unwellness … to transcend the physical experience through spiritual awakening … to understand the true nature of the universal-energetic-intelligence [that which we call God] … to understand our own true nature [that we are more than just our bodies, more than our thoughts, more than our feelings], that we are divine spiritual beings living in oneness with the universal-energetic-intelligence and all that exists in the universe … to rise above fear, to transform it into Divine self-love through living in acceptance, trust and faith … to let go of our attachment to anything physical, including our possessions … to understand that we are merely the vessels for the universal-energetic-intelligence to express and expand itself [expand love] through experience … to contribute to this expansion of love through surrender, kindness, compassion, generosity, gratitude and forgiveness!

And lastly, and of equal importance, are all the amazing people I’ve connected with from all over the world: Jeff, Richard, Lena, Rebecca, Jimmy, Bratzo, Heather, Barbara, Paul, Mark, Joe, Gary, David, Bianca and many more. Wonderfully supportive people facing the same challenges, researching, trying new things and sharing their discoveries! I would love some day to meeting everyone!

Happy New Year everyone!

  3. Sounds marvellous Bratzo, only a short 3 hour flight for me, 2018 the year of breakthrough and restoration ! Yes please, bring it on !

  4. I feel the same way about my PD. Over the past 15 months since my diagnosis, I have learned so much. There are so many good things that have happened and wonderful people that I have met because of my PD. I am not healthier than I have ever been…body, mind and soul. Praying your year ahead is full of peace, health, and happiness!

    • Thank you so much for your message and encouraging words! I know it is possible to recover from this condition! Others have done it! I’m glad to hear you have taken action! Wishing you a speedy recovery!

  5. Beautiful post for the new year Fred! It captures so many of your key thoughts about reversing symptoms of PD. I really like the hierarchy of your healing approach starting with body moved by the mind awakened with spirit. Being thankful for the symptoms is so important because they have such deep lessons to teach us and feeling the deepest possible gratitude for those lessons leads to a kind of responsiveness to symptoms that is healing. Seems to me that fear and dread which are totally understandable responses to PD symptoms only lead to trouble. So your thankfulness lays a powerful foundation for healing during 2018 and beyond!

I’m honored and inspired by your words and thoughts as well as those of the community of people gathered on your blog. I wish you Fred and everyone else reading Fred’s blog a happy and healthy and healing 2018. I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you and can hardly wait for Bratzo’s get together in Sydney to to meet each other and celebrate all of us getting well!! Once healed, think of the contributions to life we can all make from the perspective of appreciating each precious moment so much more deeply than ever before. Perhaps this is a greatest gift recovery can bring us.

I thank the universal energetic intelligence for the opportunity to live, love, and heal!

    • Thank you so much Jeff! And a very Happy New Year to you as well! I love your thoughtful, articulate messages! Such a gift! So inspiring! If you’re not already a writer, you should be! Wishing you a wonderful year of recovery!

      • Thank you for the uplifting feedback, Fred and Bratzo! I enjoy both of your messages as well. I have written professionally though not extensively but am considering options. Especially about innovative healing and other big ideas. To life!

      • I enjoy writing too, Fred. More specifically, expressing big or exciting ideas. Now that I’m using the voice transcription program called Dragon, I’m doing more expressing and writing these days. Feels great!
