Yesterday, Mari and I took a trip to Mindemoya to do some shopping. It’s a half hour drive to Mindy, as the locals like to call her. We had already seen one deer on our road when we came upon a second one crossing the highway further down. Its head was down and it appeared to be examining the yellow center line. Suddenly it lept awkwardly in the air as if it had been jolted by a cattle prod, landing on the other side of the line, before continuing unhurriedly on its way. It may have been overly suspicious or experiencing a little OCD, we’ll never know. Either way, it was comical moment and we felt suitably entertained.
