lightningToday I sat [inside of course] looking out at the lake, watching the flashes of lightning and listening to the cracks and rumble of thunder! And though my mind wandered, I felt awesome!

  1. You are awesome, Fred! And you deserve to heal!

I also just read your post about skipping and kayaking. It’s great you’re diving into these activities. I resonated with your joy but also the need for acceptance of the physical challenges brought on by these neurological symptoms. Any activity requiring a blend of coordination, timing, balance and strength takes a leap in degree of difficulty from times remembered from the past or imagined in our healthy future! You’re right, healing requires deep acceptance of and presence with current capabilities. It requires an almost Godlike compassion. Or at times what feels like Herculean strength! Maybe that’s the presence of spirit you describe that we seek on this healing journey Fred . . . at least waking into a state of Godlike compassion and presence. Personally I would also like a tad of Herculean strength! Like you and others have described, my endurance is reduced.

  2. “Sometimes the universe wants to be noticed. That’s what I believe. I believe the universe wants to be noticed. I think the universe is improbably biased toward consciousness, that it rewards intelligence in part because the universe enjoys its elegance being observed.”

John Green “The fault in our stars”
