7 Behaviors That Could Change Humanity!

imagineI think we can all agree that the state of affairs on the planet is quite dire at this point in our history. I could present a long list of societal and environmental indicators as evidence of this, but I neither want to depress or scare anyone. Safe to say, things aren’t good!

The reason we’re in this predicament, is because present society, which means all the people in it, collectively doesn’t feel good about itself.  Pretty much every human being on this planet doesn’t feel lovable, worthy, good enough or empowered, to some degree.  This truth is amply evident in the way we treat each other and the way we treat our environment.  It is also more than evident in the level of sickness in our society.

There is a solution, however. We have the ability to create a more peaceful, joyful, healthy and plentiful existence for all beings, human or otherwise. To achieve this, we simply need to create a society that collectively does feel good about itself. A society that does feel lovable, deserving, good enough and empowered.

I believe it can be done and more importantly, I believe it’s not that difficult!

We can create this type of society by doing just seven things. And here’s the beauty of it, we can all do it!  Every single person on this planet is capable of doing it regardless of age, gender, race, country of origin or religious affiliation!  We don’t need world leaders to lead us, nor do we need celebrities to lead us.  Everyone is capable of doing it!  Every one is capable of leading the way! Here are the seven things:

  1. Be kind
  2. Be grateful
  3. Be forgiving
  4. Be compassionate
  5. Act with integrity
  6. Focus on doing your best
  7. Eat healthy foods

If each one of us practiced these seven things every day, we would have an awesome society.  We would have a society where, among other things:

  • Children would grow up feeling safe and as a result, would succeed in school. [They would actually enjoy learning.]
  • Governments would actually serve the people and they would work together with business to create jobs for everyone.
  • We would not pollute.
  • You could walk safely down any street anywhere in the world.
  • We would all live in abundance.

Now, as John Lennon once wrote, “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.” I think there are a lot of people who share my concerns and my optimism, so I believe in my heart we can do it. We need to do it, for our children and our grandchildren. Heck, we need to do it for ourselves!

If doing all seven things seems a little daunting, then do just one thing … be kind! The other six behaviours are born of kindness anyway! Be kind to your children, your spouse, your family, your neighbours, your coworkers, your employees and every other person you come in contact with.

We can transform the world with kindness!

John Lennon also wrote, “I hope some day you’ll join us, and the world will live as one!” The time us upon us. Join us and let’s transform the world!

Have an awesomely kind day!

I have never done this before, but I would like to ask you to please share this post! Thank you!

      • Not quite! Some people may think, ” well, not everyone is going to do this so why should I?” But the thing is, we don’t need everyone else to take action in order for us to take action. We can do it regardless of what everyone else is doing. The more people who take action, however, the more others will follow suite!

As Gandhi said, “Be the change you want the world to be!”

        Cheers Eric,
