Carpe Diem! Make Each Day Count!

carpe diemCarpe diem! Latin, for ‘seize the day.’

And that we should!

Mahatma Gandhi said, “The future depends on what you do today.”

You don’t have to be the next Neil Armstrong and be the first to walk on the moon. You don’t have to be the next Nelson Mandela or Martin Luther King and bring an end to oppression. Just endeavour to make each day meaningful!

Step away from your computer (unless you’re writing a blog that is intended to change the world!), put down your smart phone, forget about your bank accounts and your stock portfolio. Spend quality time with your family. Volunteer. Go for a walk in the forest. Do one thing to reduce your carbon footprint. Seize the day!

Make a commitment to have a positive attitude. Use positive language. “Hey, my day is awesome!” People love to be around people with a positive outlook. They’ll follow you anywhere!

If you do nothing else, be kind! Say, “I love you,” to your spouse. Say, “I love you,” to your children.” Say, “Hi,” to a stranger. Perform a random act of kindness.

If you really want to change the world, just be kind. Feel the joy! Feel the love!

Bob Marley said, “Wake up and live.” Focus on doing your best!

Carpe diem! Seize the day!

The feeling will blow your socks off!

Have an awesomely meaningful day!

  2. How refreshing, how wonderful to read this, full of positivity, just what I love. I wrote this this morning:
    Good Morning!
    Think happy thoughts,
    Love your family,
    Be kind,
    Be grateful for this day,
    Smile,
    Count your blessings,
    Say I love you!

Wishing you a fantastic day! Ute
